  Toddler Escape Drop-In Child Care's philosophy and goals for an enjoyable preschool experience.

  The purpose of preschool is to begin to prepare children for school.  Preschool has to be fun!  That is why Toddler Escape Drop-In Child Care readies children for kindergarten but strives to teach kids that learning is fun and so is school.

  Preschool is the period that follows the marvelous, explosive growth of the first two or three years of life and precedes the serious business of formal schooling.  It is a time of enormous educational strides in language, conceptual thinking, the development of self and social skills.  Preschool is both a place to learn and a place to have fun.  We want your child to be prepared for life that follows in school and out.

  Preschool needs to be taught at an appropriate age and ability.  That is why we keep a low student to teacher ratio so the children can learn at their maximum pace.  In our educational setting, our experienced staff creates a safe and loving environment where the children are encouraged to experience and explore the world around them.  The teachers are sensitive to each child's needs, development level and personality.

  Class time will incorporate the following activities:  circle time, socialization skills, learning rules and boundaries, pre reading skills, letters, numbers, days, months, shapes, colors, name recognition, writing, music, etc.
